Hello, and welcome to my LJ.  I was formerly a Smallville (Chlark and Clex) fan, but am now more into watching Doctor Who and Castle.  Most of the fanfic I've produced recently is for Doctor Who (Ten/Donna, a bit of Ten/Jack, and standalone Ten). I still hope to produce the occasional SV fic, though! If you friend me, I'll usually friend you back  if we have fandom interests in common (I don't friend blank journals, though!). Be warned that my f-locked posts generally consist of inane babbling about my kids and dogs.

I confess I'm a bit surprised this one won, as my "Off the Record" series is, let's face it, not exactly complimentary to Smallville. But I'm delighted to know people found it amusing. Thanks so much to my readers, as well as to all the lovely organizers of the Creativity Awards!

This seems to have become a series, of a sort. There will eventually need to be a second version of this story from the Doctor's perspective to make it all nice and symmetrical.

I have a nice 2800-word Ten/Donna fic almost all ready to go. I thought I could get it finished up this morning before I ran out to see my dad, but my daughter decided her stomach was bothering her, so would I please drive her to school instead of making her drive? So there went my pitiful amount of writing time this morning. I'll definitely have it up sometime this afternoon (American afternoon!), though. It's just about done-- it just needs a couple of edits!

Author Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are) has died. He was 83.

At one point I had read Wild Things to my kids so many times I could recite it from start to finish without ever opening the book. He will be missed.

I apologize for not getting more writing done, but it's been a hard week, with some health problems that necessitated lying on the couch a lot. But here's a little PWP for your Saturday. Just a companion piece to "Before."

I have officially finished watching through the sixth season with my daughters (but not the most recent Christmas special). Overall, I can say I really don't like them as well as my favorite seasons of New Who, three and four. I still enjoy the show to some degree, though, mostly thanks to Matt Smith. My favorite episodes of season five are "The Eleventh Hour" and "The Lodger," and my favorite episodes of season six are "The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon," "The Doctor's Wife," and "Closing Time."

Here's what I liked about the seasons, and what I disliked (with more of the latter). It's long, and I'm not a River or Amy fan, nor a Moffat-as-showrunner fan. You have been warned:

I've been having a hard time getting back into my writing groove, but today I remembered that tkel_paris had suggested this story quite a while back. It seemed to help me with my groove problems:-).

Also, a Britcrit question: am I spelling "odour" correctly? It never looks right with the U.
